I guess partly my mother had been experiencing a few of these things .. the TIAs .. before succumbing to the large ones and subsequently being in a nursing centre. She was in Cornwall - 300 miles away - so we knew things weren't quite right .. but my mother wouldn't 'quit' until the worst happened.

You're really doing your best for her .. and we do give things up - and our life, ultimately .. for their last days .. (however many they may be - in my case over 4 years) ..

It's good that you can tell us .. and I love the photos from your Tai Chi friend .. no wonder you want a sword - I would too!

With many thoughts .. You are so blessed that she was willing to come to you. Things were different for us.
It is hard for both parties to realize the roles have been reversed and such a fine line to walk to remain the child but be the parent. You are doing an extremely hard but wonderful thing for your mom.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-812951198483259605.post-11961402534898751332011-08-25T02:53:59.041-04:002011-08-25T02:53:59.041-04:00That must have been so frightening! Just writing about these experiences has helped others, including me. JulieEmpty Nest Insiderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10074223969046687064noreply@blogger.com
