It has been slow going mostly because I find this whole crochet animal process a little less satisfying than knitting. I have a new knitting project I started and set aside that calls to me all the time. And another knitting project I want to start for Eskarina, but I ignore the sirens calls so I can get this crochet project done in the next week.
Some of your guesses are pretty darn good. I knew what I was making from the start looking at the picture - but I still would never have guessed as well as some of you.
Here are the next two clues.

Unfortunately I have been having a problem with Blogger - a problem that some others have noted as well - your comments are “Embedded” instead of “Popup Comments.” For some darn reason, I cannot leave a comment on blogs that have Embedded Comments. The same thing happened on my blog - regular long time readers all of sudden had problems leaving comments on my blog - because my comments were Embedded. I changed them to Popup Comments and the problem went away. So I am leaving my comments here in an email. I have encouraged others to use Popup Comments - and I hope you will do so as well. It is an easy change to make - and should not impact any of your other readers.

Alligator? Crocodile? Whatever it is, it is darned cute and your granddaughter is going to LOVE it! And what a lovely name she has, too! It's so hard, when you want to knit all the things. I just found out that one of my besties is going to be a grandmother. I almost levitated at the thought of all that baby knitting!
