H is for Halloween

So with the title "Halloween," I bet you thought you would see some cute little trick or treaters, or maybe a scary lighted Jack-o-lantern or maybe just a cute little ghost cartoon on the outside of a big bag of candy.

These are some of my kids - actually the "kid" on the right I gave birth to 38 years ago, and the "kid" on the left will become mine on May 19th - the day they will marry.

I really like the purple hair!

And the green thing-ys on their heads? Those are "brain slugs" I made (at their request) for their costumes. I thought I left making costumes behind 25 years ago.

Guess not. :-)

  1. I remember your post about making the brain slugs...they look great.

  2. Love the costumes. It's good to let your inner kid out once in a while. :)

  3. Love this! The brain slugs are adorable! Isn't it nice that our grown kids still need us? :-)

  4. I loved your, "I thought I left making costumes behind 25 years ago." At first I remembered some of my own children's costumes that I made years ago...but then I remembered Halloween 2011...I helped my son convert an old woven bedspread into a poncho to wear with an over-sized sombrero that he had.
    The brain slugs are adorable!

  5. I love the 20 years quote at the top of your blog!

  6. maybe this could be their wedding theme:)) congrats.

  7. got to love this time of the year, for me all year round.

Happy... to the challenge "H" is for Harmonious!

  8. fun costumes. the brain slugs are cool.

  9. Nice brain slugs. I love the quote at the top too. So true.

  10. Great stuff! And hearty congrats to the happy couple :)
And Halloween, oh my, it's getting more popular in Britain. Still, unlike my home in Vancouver, I don't get a couple of hundred 'trick or treaters' knocking on my door. And the candies are mine, all mine! :)

Yes, you do want to comment! I can see it in your face:-)
